About the People Systems team
The People Systems team work closely with the People team, to support and improve the HR-focused systems used by us. This includes the implementation of innovative solutions to improve the People experience.
Now is an exciting time to join the team as we move into the discovery phase for a large initiative to transform our Payroll and Time & Attendance systems. This initiative will transform the People systems and how they support our employees.
The People Systems team supports the following systems: SAP SuccessFactors for Employee Central, Recruiting & Onboarding, Performance & Goals, Learning Management System, Compensation, Succession & Development, Frontier Chris 21, and UKG Workforce Central.
Are you up for the challenge?
We are looking for a talented HCM and Payroll Systems Lead to join our IT team based out of the Pyrmont office in Sydney.
You will be responsible for controlling and coordinating the development and implementation of data processing procedures and the provision of advice to user departments to optimise the use of the enterprise applications.
About the Role
- Direct the overall maintenance and development of HCM & Payroll systems and any other systems which are relevant
- Lead and/or participate in business solution design, analysis, technical architecture, and implementation activities as appropriate
- Engage in hands-on configuration and development of solutions, assisting and coaching functional team members as required. Develop knowledge of new SAP Success Factors and Kronos capabilities as they emerge.
- Direct overall systems analysis and design for specific applications and recommend priorities accordingly
- Act as systems adviser to user departments and liaise with senior management on systems issues as appropriate
- Assist in the selection and operationalise of applications, infrastructure, and partners
- Monitor the health of the application, data ownership, completeness, and accuracy.
- Coordinate maintenance work and quality control
- Examine methods of storing data and recommend new or alternative techniques and supervise their introduction
- Supervise systems analysts in terms of day- to day administration and allocate staff to support agreed project targets
- Assist in the preparation of project budget proposals and estimate project workloads
- Develop and manage the implementation of information systems management strategy, objectives, change management and development of solutions
- Assist in the development, implementation and communication of the Information Systems (IS) management strategy
- Supervise the administration of HCM & Payroll systems
- Ensure consistency and adherence to solution design standards across Functional / Technical domains
- Work closely with Business stakeholders to innovate solutions to solve complex business problems and ensure business processes are modelled to industry best practice
- Provide deep product and business process knowledge, with capability to share this with functional, technical, and business teams
- Be accountable for the successful delivery of the business and technical solution as well as customer engagement
- Evaluate, recommend, and execute solutions that encompass licence, app, configuration, integration, and development options to meet functional needs and Enterprise Architecture
About You:
This position will ideally see you holding a relevant computing or business degree qualification. You will have SAP Success Factors certification and an extensive understanding of, and significant experience using, the SAP Success Factors system.
Your broader experience will preferably have seen you leading and motivating small teams of technical specialists, with a solid background in architecture and design for HR systems. Experience in Payroll Systems, particularly Chris 21, would be advantageous.
You will enjoy working collaboratively and be able to foster effective strategic relationships with people at all levels both internally and externally. Your ability to provide a great user experience and deliver IT support aligned to the business requirements will see you succeed in the role.
