We are currently seeking 6 Full Time Permanent staff members to join our team based at our Operations Centre, Keilor Park.

The role

Reporting to the Roads and Drainage Maintenance Coordinator, we are seeking 6 Road Maintenance Officers who can bring their skills and experience for:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Occupational Health & Safety Procedures; Quality Procedures; Vic Roads Codes of Practice in relation to Traffic Control Signage and Directions.
  • Knowledge and understanding in all matters of safe plant use; work practices and workplace safety.
  • Knowledge and experience in road maintenance and minor construction practices and procedures.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to operate plant and other associated equipment
  • Competent in the use of mobile computing devices

To be considered you will have:

  • Drivers Licence and a Medium Rigid Truck Licence

  • Local government *

  • OH&S Induction Card*
  • Spotters electrical safety awareness qualification*
  • Heavy Rigid truck licence*
  • Backhoe or Front End loader or Excavator or Skid steer licence*
  • Asphalt patching truck*
  • Drainage combination unit*
  • Tipper trucks*
  • Concreting*
  • Signage installation or maintenance*
  • Use of mobile computing device*

*Please note, if these requirements are not met upon commencement, Council will provide required training.
