Project Officer, the Scanlon Foundation

Role Description
Primary purpose of the role
The Project Officer will assist the Foundation with grant management and grantee projects that
require support with project check-ins, documentation, communications and acquittals. The Project
Officer will be responsible for oversight of the online database system, maintaining and recording
grants information to ensure that it is accurate and up to date. As a critical member of a small team,
this position will be flexible and ready to assist on other projects as needed.

Key tasks and duties

  • Grants management support and oversight for the Foundation, including the Annual
    Community Grants, Direct to Community Grants and Multi-Year Grants
  • SmartyGrants database: Monitor and track all current grant agreements to ensure project
    check in and acquittals are finalised on time;
  • Stakeholder Engagement Support: Support the Director of Community Development with
    communications and engagement with grantees and stakeholders;
  • Working cooperatively within a small team to meet objectives
  • Other duties as required

    Essential qualifications and attributes
  • Experience with grants and/or contract management
  • Strong project management experience
  • Excellent skills with online database systems
  • Strong experience working with multicultural communities, leaders and organisations
  • High level communications and engagement skills
  • Experience working in small, dynamic teams with multiple stakeholders

    Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in areas such as community development, project management, or similar

  • 12-month contract
  • Salary > $90,000 (depending on experience)
