JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our employment services team as a Safety Trainee. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in workplace safety within the context of employment consulting, contributing to the development and implementation of safety programs and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in conducting safety inspections and audits for clients.
• Support the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in safety training sessions and workshops for job seekers and employers.
• Help investigate and report on safety incidents and near misses. Maintain safety records and documentation.
• Collaborate with the employment services team to promote a culture of safety in client workplaces.
• Stay up-to-date with safety regulations and best practices in the employment services sector.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent; pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
