Title:  Contracts Manager

Location:  Adelaide, AU

The Opportunity:

We’re currently seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to support the Major Projects division in Adelaide. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensure the establishment and maintenance of a register of subcontractors and identify all key data in relation to each subcontract
  • Ensure selected subcontractors and suppliers are acceptable to the project.
  • Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and ensure all subcontractor agreements are closely aligned to the project’s risk management principals
  • Oversee the procurement process for all subcontract and supply agreements to ensure that all packages are awarded on time and within budget
  • Lead the identification and quantification of Head Contract Scope changes and all subsequent negotiations with the Client
  • Manage any disputes or major claims with subcontractor or the Client
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly progress claims for work completed and approve disputed progress payments to subcontractors as referred by contract administrators

About You:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Engineering
  • Experience with Industrial projects with significant M&E components
  • Significant experience in a Contracts and Commercial Management capacity on complex infrastructure projects
  • Strong leadership skills and experience leading contracts administration teams
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
